thenopp drops Wally for Anthony Carter

Wally Szczerbiak is a sharpshooter in decline. He played sparingly in CLE's first two games, but has edged up to 20 MPG lately. He's never offered much more than 3s (a few rebounds in his heyday), and this year, it seems, he'll provide even less. 3 point guys hang around a long time, and Wally may have a stretch of hotness left in him, but he hasn't looked good in CLE.

We've spoken of Anthony Carter previously, but his circumstances have materially changed, given the arrival of Chauncey Billups. AC has had a nice week, but with Billups playing his first Nugget game tomorrow, we may not see much of Carter going forward.

Judgment: Certainly losing Wally is no great loss, but I don't think AC will be very useful for thenopp. He will likely be dropped soon, unless he is able to coexist surprisingly well with C-Bill
