Quick Turnaround

thenopp drops C. Brewer for Joakim Noah

We've talked about Noah and Brewer quite recently. Thenopp dropped Brewer after his 0/1/3 disaster on Friday - he started the game, but was not seen much in the second half. Perhaps he'll emerge in a few months (and perhaps not). Noah had perhaps his best game of the season (9/14) in 30 minutes off the bench.

Judgment: A solid move - C-Brizzle seems useless, and crowded, while Noah at least showed some potential last night. No-risk, some reward.

Noah!

The Hosen drop Joakim for Brandan Wright

Joakim Noah, the Bulls worst draft pick since Eddy Curry, has been quite a (fantasy) disappointment so far this year. I haven't seen him enough to know what the issue is (it might be the reefer) - he's clearly capable of fine defensive numbers (though he can't shoot) - but he doesn't presently get enough rebounds (4.6) or points (3) for him to be rosterable; he's also losing minutes to people like Aaron Gray, which is not a good sign.

Brandan Wright, on the other hand, looked amazing yesterday - 18/12/3 BLK - and, now that it looks like he's going to get minutes with Baby Al supposedly done in GS, will perhaps rank as the best pickup of the year. He's 21 and awesome - perhaps a bit scrawny for a PF (he's 6'10") - he is, however, subject to Don Nelson's PT whims.

Judgment: Mostly, I'm just sad I didn't pick him up as CJK and I were watching the game. Noah's a bum, and B-Wright has unlimited upside. A fine pickup for a McCain-like Hosen squad seeking a 'game-changer'.
