Conley jr. dropped for Kwame Brown
We have nothing more to say about Mike Conley Jr..
Cake-Throwing Kwame Brown, apparently, sucks. Indeed, he may be the biggest draft bust in recent memory, having been picked #1 overall in 2001. He's been so bad for so long, it's hard to realize just how bad he is. It's also remarkable that he's only 26(!). He shoots under 50% from the line. He only once even managed 10PPG, back in 2003-4. He's not much of a shotblocker or a good rebounder (5PG for his career). However, he did look good last night, double-doubling in his first start as the Piston's C. Is it possible he'll settle into a somewhat useful late-career mediocrity, like fellow #1's Joe Smith and the Kandi-man? The Hosen are hoping so.
Judgment: the Hosen are starved for a frontcourt, and Kwame might be helpful for a while. Certainly Conley is no loss. Our only concern is that we'll have to write another post when Conley is dropped in a week or so.
